I have been a patient of Dr Floyd for over 19 years and I have nothing but praise for the service I get. I cannot think of anything aspect that I could criticise. Just what I expect from a GP, and more.
The nurses are also excellent; attentive and friendly.
Reception is not so good. Although the staff are always helpful, a smile would help to make you feel at home rather than a nuisance.
Generally I find the administrative staff helpful, given the pressures that they work under and the pressures on the appointments system. I have always been given sufficient time to complete the appointment by the medical staff though, probably because of this, I rarely see my GP on time. I appreciate being able to book regular appointments online. It would be useful to have two screen sin reception so all patients can see a screen rather than relying on people having to hear the announcement. Is there a hearing loop system to enable those with hearing aids to hear?
Thank you for your feedback. We did carefully consider the location of the patient screen and feel that it is the best available position. That said, we do appreciate that visibility is dependent on where a patient sits. We can confirm that there is a hearing loop system in reception for our patients with hearing difficulties. We are sorry that you have experienced delays when visiting your doctor but hope that the due care and attention you receive during your appointment is some compensation for the wait.
I am a manager of a residential home for people with learning disablities. Five of the residents see Dr.McKee if and when necessary.he has always been extremely
Kind, empathetic, companate with each person. He never rushed us ,always gave each one time to speak with him. Also will do home visits when necessary and staff could speak with him over the phone when we need to get some advice.
Nothing has really changed in all my 40 years of visiting surgeries. The experience is still 'dark ages' and one still gets the impression that consultations are all rather experimental - "...try this and we'll see how it goes..."
For the life of me I can't see why surgeries in major conurbations can't/don't offer a better service. The contrast in style between this doctor's surgery and the dentist's surgery (also in Epsom) is stark - the dentist's surgery is bright, modern, colourful with current magazines on display and the doctor's surgery is the opposite. Can the NHS not even afford a lick of paint?
Having said all that my doctor is attentive and helpful, it's just the overall experience that could be (a lot) better.
Was in and out of the doctors a lot in 2014 because of a persistent virus and always felt that I could get an appointment when I needed one. Dr Wormley was very understanding and reassuring, and has always prescribed treatments as necessary. Only problem I have had is that the waiting room has felt very stuffy and uncomfortable at times when I've already been running a temperature and could do with some air conditioning at times.
